Summer Wellness Check-in

We all know the basics: drink water, eat real food, get enough sleep, move your body, and don’t overdo the sugar, alcohol, or iced coffee.

But summer has a way of pulling us out of our routine—and honestly, that’s part of the fun.

More travel, beach days, BBQs, vacations, late nights, and social plans can be wonderful. They can also leave your body feeling tired, bloated, tense, inflamed, or wired at night.

☀️ Mid-Summer Reset Checklist

1. Add minerals to your water

If you’re sweating, drinking caffeine, or spending time in the sun, plain water may not be enough. Add electrolytes, trace minerals, or a pinch of sea salt with fresh lemon.

2. Eat protein before coffee or sugar

Starting your day with protein helps support healthy blood sugar, steady energy, fewer cravings, and a more balanced mood.

3. Support digestion before heavier meals

Try lemon water, apple cider vinegar in water, a bitter salad, arugula, sauerkraut, or plain yogurt if you tolerate dairy.

Zypan from Standard Process can also help support protein digestion and ease that heavy feeling after meals.

4. Protect your sleep rhythm

Get morning sunlight, keep your bedroom cool, and consider magnesium support. E-Z Mg from Standard Process is one of my favorite options for supporting stress, sleep, and a healthy nervous system.

5. Reset before you crash

Walking, stretching, breathwork, yoga, and legs-up-the-wall can help calm your nervous system before stress builds up.

Acupuncture can take this even deeper by supporting better sleep, digestion, pain relief, stress reduction, and overall balance.

If you could use a little support feeling refreshed, grounded, and back in your body this summer, come in for a Summer Reset. We’d love to see you.

Here’s to feeling good in your body and enjoying the rest of summer!

Warmly,
Julie
