As a young woman, I struggled with severe acne, menstrual cramps and anxiety. I went to a local acupuncturist and she changed my life! She gave me acupuncture and herbs and taught me about my blood sugar issues that I didn’t know I had, and encouraged me to meditate. This inspired me to begin my own transformative healing journey and to become a healer myself.

I graduated from Emperor's College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2000. Right out of acupuncture school, I got a job at Santa Monica Homeopathic Pharmacy as a herbal and nutritional consultant. Working here was a crash course in everything related to natural medicine and available supplements. While working there for over 10 years, I developed a passion and knowledge of Standard Process and MediHerb supplements which I integrated into my acupuncture practice

In 2014, I became the West Los Angeles sales representative for Standard Process and MediHerb for over 5 years. I had the pleasure of teaching Functional Nutrition and Herbalism to the top alternative practitioners on the Westside. This was an invaluable experience that allowed me to become an Applied Clinical Nutritionist and study Nutrition Response testing, a form of muscle testing that uses the body's electromagnetic field and nervous system to uncover the root causes of conditions as well as the solutions. I also have advanced training in Functional medicine and functional blood chemistry and combine lab results with muscle testing to uncover my patients’ obstacles to healing.

As a business owner and mother of three, I understand the complexities that modern women face in a fast-paced society, especially during these turbulent times. I am passionate about supporting women through all stages of life, including menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause.

My heart lies in identifying the root causes of dis-ease through a highly personalized style of palpation based acupuncture, functional nutrition, and muscle testing, which guides my patients toward balance in body, mind, and soul.

I have always been drawn to holistic healthcare and loved taking supplements. After college and a brief stint in the publishing industry, I realized that my true passion was natural health and got certified as a yoga instructor and massage therapist. In my early 30’s I experienced some health challenges as lifestyle and hormonal changes affected my skin and I developed cystic acne that I had never previously experienced. After western dermatology failed to help me, I turned to acupuncture and herbs, and with regular treatments and dietary changes, my skin cleared up. After that I was determined to learn more, and I entered a Masters program in Chinese Medicine.

Since graduating from my program, I have studied Japanese Acupuncture and become certified in applied clinical nutrition, as well as NAET (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique) and have learned to utilize muscle response testing to communicate with the body's energetic field and nervous system. I am certified in several methods utilizing these systems to get accurate healing information about the root causes of your symptoms. I love muscle response testing because it helps to hone in on what our bodies do and do not need in order to heal and thrive.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Asian Studies from UC Berkeley, and my Master of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University in Los Angeles. I am licensed in California and am also certified nationally as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, (NCCAOM.) I look forward to helping you on your healing journey.
